Dramaturgy & Librarianship


As a dramaturg and librarian, I work behind the scenes to help theatre artists & researchers create their best work. I also teach information literacy, public speaking skills, & curate exhibits at the Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library. Currently, I am the Performing Arts Librarian at the University of Maryland. Below are past projects & more are in the works.

I received the 2023 UMD Outstanding Librarian Award presented by Dean Adriene Lim.

Tour of the TRIUMPH OF ISABELLA exhibit in front of the reproduction of the painting by Denis Van Alsloot made possible by the Victoria & Albert Museum giving us a high resolution digital scan of the famous painting. More info above under exhibits.

Giving the curtain speech for the student matinee of AS YOU LIKE IT at UMD in 2022. I also created the student study guide. Scenic design by Gavin Mosier.

Presentation entitled “Pivoting Towards People & Puppets During the Pandemic” at the Small Museum Conference (Feb. 2023) explicating the two exhibits I curated after our campus reopened during the pandemic.

Human Library event in partnership with the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in 2019. This was one of three Human Library events we have hosted and managed in our library in order to facilitate conversations between guests and marginalized people.
